Hello, my name is John Hopkins. I am a clockmaker.
Every day I use a hammer to cut the metal into the right shapes. Next I will use a screwdriver to screw the metal to the wood face of the clock. In front of me on my work desk are weights, a hammer, metal string, chimes, screws, bolts, pins, paint and a paintbrush. Now I have all my materials in front of me and now I will use my trade skills to build a clock.

What is a Clockmakers job? Today I'm going to show you.
I pound metal flat, use a pattern, and cut out 2 large and small toothed wheels. Second, I fill the toothed wheels so they are evenly spaced and smooth. Third, I attach the toothed wheel to an axle so the big wheel can drive the little wheel and then another wheel can drive the axle. I paint a face on a clock and make a hole in the center. I attach the axle to the hands on the clock. Fifth, I attach the large wheel to a weight and pendulum that will drive the clock. I drop the weight and listen to it tick away.
