Paper Maker

Brrr! This water is freezing! Pardon me, may I help you? I am Emily the town Papermaker. Would you like me to tell you more about my job? In colonial times paper was made out of linen, rags, and cloth. I collect scraps of cloth from citizens of the village. After that I soak them in a bucket to make pulp. I am using the deckle and mold to collect the rag fibers from the bucket. I let the water
drain out from the deckle. After that I take the mold off of the deckle, then I flip the deckle over and
sponge the screen of the deckle. Then I lift up the corner of the deckle, once I do that I put the paper
under the press, the press makes the paper flat. The most difficult part of my job is finishing the paper in so little time. Oh no!It's getting late I better go finish the order of paper I promised master Jack Sheridan .
Thank you for coming and enjoy the market place.
