I am so glad I found my flatter. Now I can make those horseshoes that Mr. Trippett requested. Oh, hello my name is Peter I am learning the skills of a blacksmith because one day I want to have my own shop. I am an apprentice blacksmith. Now I must work for Master Matthew for six years until I learn all the skills. I make lots of tools for the farmers and horseshoes for everyone. First I must heat up the forge and melt the iron. Then I put the iron on an anvil and then shape it into a half circle. I have to be very strong to do this. The hardest tool to make is my flatter.
I must be going now… I have to help Master Matthew with some horseshoes!
