Potter

I am grinding these roses to make red paint for my pot.  Oh, hello!  My name is Sarah and I am the local potter.  My day is very busy because I have to dig up the clay with my shovel.  Then I pick up the sticks and bits of rock out of the clay with my fingers.  Next, I shape the clay with a potter’s wheel or my thumbs.  I like to make bowls the best.  Finally, I put my shape into my oven, which is called a kiln.  Then after I do that I paint my bowl with the paint I made. After I finish, I glaze the outside and let it dry overnight. Then I have to put my shape into the kiln again. Finally, I can sell the pottery.
