Welcome to The Rocky Inn. My name is Grace Widneg. I was helping my mother prepare breakfast. I am very pleased to meet you. I am going to tell you about a girl’s life and chores. A girl’s life was very hard. There were many chores. Sadly some kids died at the age of six. Also, it was not unusual to have six or more children. Young girls dressed just like their mothers. Colonial children helped their mothers prepare food. The women and girls made the meals. The children started helping at the age of five or earlier. Also many girls and boys only had one outfit.
