• First you take turns setting down the pieces on the game board.

• One person does one and then the next person does one until all the pieces are laid out.

• The person who put down the second piece moves his piece first to a different intersection of two lines.

• The object is to get three pieces in a row. 

• When you get three in a row you can take one of your opponent’s pieces off the game board.

• You want to remove your opponent’s pieces, because if there are only two left he/she cannot win by getting three in a row.
