The Kitchen
By: Sara D.

The kitchen is where all of the meals were made in William Penn’s time. Now we still have kitchens but it was different when William Penn lived. We have kitchens in our houses now but William Penn had a kitchen near his barn. Penn usually had maids working on meals in the kitchen. They ate foods like apples, bread, and other choices in William Penn’s time. On the top of the kitchen there were many spices hanging from the ceiling so the maids could just reach up if they needed something like garlic.
