1. When a girl was about 4 or 5 she would wear adult clothes.
2. Girls that were fashionable wore jewelry and gloves.
3. Many girls carried parasols which are like umbrellas.
4. For special occasions girls wore leather or silk slippers.
5. Their shoes went over their ankles.
