In Cara Herold's class, 3H, each child made a Venn diagram as a way
to compare their lives with that of a colonial child. Each listed similarities
and differences. This awareness and knowledge was attained through first
hand experiences at the Pennsylvania
Colonial Plantation at Ridley State Park and by visiting William Penn's
home
Pennsbury. Several books
were read independently by the children and others were read orally by
the teacher. Our Colonial Day celebration further
enriched their understanding. Please browse a sampling of student's work.
