Lauren G. ’08 Amber Brown Goes Fourth is about a girl named Amber who is starting
fourth grade. She is having a rough time because her best friend, Justin, moved away. Her
parents got a divorce and her mom is going out with another man named Max. Amber is having
trouble making a new best friend until she meets Brandi. Our event I like is when they
have a burping contest at school during recess. The winner wins a funny looking doll that
sings.
I recommend this book to people who like to read funny and exciting books because this
book is surely one of them.

| Reviewer: Lauren C. '06 Amber Brown Goes Fourth is about a girl who had a friend, Justin,
who moved away, and Amber had trouble making a new friend. Amber likes a girl named Brandi
Colwin, but Amber and Brandi got off on a bad start. Amber doesn’t think that she can
make it through fourth grade without her best friend, Justin. Amber is also going through
a hard time in her family because her mother and father are divorced, and her mother is
dating another man. Amber is not too anxious to meet him.
