| Reviewer: Alaina W. '09 Chasing Redbird is about a girl named Zinny. Her cousin,
Rose, dies of whooping cough and Zinny thinks it's her fault because she gives that cough
to her. About two years later her aunt dies and Zinny also thinks that it's her fault. One
day Zinny finds a trail while taking a walk. Along the trail she finds a medallion that
says T.N.W.M. It means... I can't tell you but I will tell you that it has something to do
with her dead aunt and cousin.

Chasing Redbird is about a twelve-year-old girl, Zinny,
a child in a big family. When precious Aunt Jesse dies, Zinny feels like she can’t go
on without her. After a couple of months Zinny gets over it a little. She finds a stone
trail in her woods that leads to a big town about twenty miles away. As she uncovers stone
after stone, she is not aware that she is leading herself to a place that will bring back
her Aunt Jesse and help her find out about her history. 11/
