Title:  Dragon's Milk
Author:  Susan Fletcher
Reviewer:   Stephanie A. '08

From the start, Kaeldra didn’t fit in. Taller than all of the women in her village and towering over most of the men, her long curly sandy blond hair and green eyes didn’t match the black hair and eyes of the short women of Elythia, where she lived. When her mother died Gramyr took her in, and all of her life Kaeldra had tried to look like the women, but failed. When Kaeldra’s foster sister got sick, Kaeldra knew she must go to get dragons’ milk, for the green in her eyes meant she could speak to dragons. Little did she know at the time that this was going to turn into a giant scavenger hunt! Using her gift of speaking to dragons, can Kaeldra bring the three draclings to safety? Will she be able to get to her destination without getting caught? Read the book to find out.
