| Reviewer: Alexandra B. '07 Emily Climbs is an exciting sequel to Emily of New
Moon. Emily is a very good writer of poems and short stories, and she hopes to
someday become a famous writer. Her friends are going off to high school and her aunt
won’t let Emily go unless she gives up writing fiction while she is away. Emily
Climbs is full of determination and courage when Emily must face public gossip and
the wrath of her own relatives. Also, a little romance starts.
I really enjoyed this second in the Emily novels,
and I suggest it to anyone who is ambitious or who likes to write.
