| Reviewer: Eric S. '07 I chose this book because I had already started to read this
series, The Dark is Rising. This is the third of five books. I enjoyed it because
it was exciting and succinct. There was some description but it was enjoyable.
The most exciting part in the story was when Jane looks
out her window and the narrator tells the reader about the ghostly hauntings that took
place in Treswick, a town in England. I would recommend this to any readers who enjoy
magical books like Harry Potter.
