Hey, New Kid is a book about a boy named Cody who is the new kid school. Cody just wants to fit in, but he's not "cool." Cody makes up all these crazy lies to fit in, and all the kids at his school believe him. Some of the lies that he tells are that he has a pet emu, that his dad is an F.B.I agent, and that he is great on roller-blades. It turns out that one of his friends is having a roller skating party, and she invites Cody. Cody can't turn down the offer and goes to the party. Read this book to find out what Cody will do. Will he tell the truth? Will his friends not like him if they find out he's lying?

I recommend this book to people who like funny books that will keep you guessing until the end. This book is for a boy or a girl to read.

This book is about a boy named Cody who moves from Kansas to a new town. At first he does not fit in with the other children at his new school. To make friends he lies about his old home, his parents' jobs, their cars, and his pets. He makes two new friends, Holly and Chip. Cody is invited to Holly's roller-skating party. He wants to go, but doesn't know how to skate. He lies to his classmates that he has won skating awards. When he gets to the party he tells everyone that he cannot skate. He learns an important lesson that Chip and Holly still want to be his friends, and he also learns how to skate.

I recommend this book to people who like short, funny, and interesting books.
