Iggie's House is
about a girl named Iggie who moves away to Tokyo. Iggie's
best friend is her neighbor, Winnie Barringer. Iggie's move
makes Winnie really depressed. She is afraid she won't make
any friends, so she does not want to leave her room. Winnie
does not know if she will make it through the rest of the
summer without Iggie. She is very anxious to see who buys
Iggie's house. An African American family, the Garbers, buy
Iggie's house. They are the only African American family in
the neighborhood. Winnie doesn't care about that, but Mrs.Landon,
Winnies other neighbor, does. Mrs. Landon makes it a bigger
deal than it should be. She wants the Grabers to leave Grove
Street. What do you think will happen, do you think the Garbers
will move or Mrs.Landon? To answer the question read the book.
