The Jacket
is a book about a boy named Phil, a boy named Daniel, Daniels's
grandmother, and Lucy. The story starts when Phil's brother,
Jimmy, leaves his lunch money at home. Phil has to bring it
to school for him. Phil walks through the fourth and fifth
grade hallway to give Jimmy his lunch money. Phil sees a boy
wearing the same jacket as his brother. He knows that no one
else in town had the same jacket, because his mom bought it
in Rome. Phil walks up to the boy named Daniel and grabs the
jacket. He says, "Give me my brother's jacket."
Daniel says," It is his jacket that he got from his grandmother."
A teacher walks past and sees them fighting, so she sends
them to the principal's office. To find out what happens between
Phil and Daniel as well as what happens to the jacket you
will have to read this book.
This is a great
story, however, I would have liked to have seen Phil's brother,
Jimmy, in the story more. I recommend this book because it
is easy to read, you can finish it quickly, and it keeps you
interested.
