| Johnny is a silversmith apprentice in
Boston and one day while he is working he burns his hand. He runs away to a stable, the
Afric Queen, and lives there. He is an orphan. Rab and Cilla are his friends. The Boston
Tea Party occurs and the Revolutionary War starts. Rab goes to fight at Lexington and is
shot. Johnny goes to Lexington to help and he finds Rab. Doctor Warren says he can
fix Johnny's burned hand. The end of the book is surprising and sad. I recommend
this exciting book to anyone who likes historical fiction. Spring
