This book is about a 14 year-old teenager named Rick Walker. He has had a few foster parents, lived with his grandma, but she died, and he has gone to court a lot. As you can see, Rick Walker is a very unfortunate person. The first chapter takes place in the courtroom, and that's when he is sent to Blue Canyon Youth Detention Center because he was throwing rocks at a stop sign, plus some other bad things.  Blue Canyon Detention Center is where all of the adventure begins. A fourteen year old boy named Rick Walker has escaped from a juvenile detention camp.  He stows away in the back of a pickup truck, only to find himself in the middle of nowhere.  He meets a man who is trying to protect condor falcons.  The book is about Rick's adventures in the canyon lands he calls The Maze.  This is a very good book and a real page-turner.
