After buying her
"PIG CITY" hat, Laura Sibbie wants to start a secret
club with her friends. She wants to make sure that no one
tells about the club "PIG CITY," so she makes everyone
who enters give her insurance. The insurance isn't money but
it's something that gives proof of something embarrassing.
If anyone tells of the club, their insurance is shown to the
class! Meanwhile, every day since the club started Laura has
written something about pigs on the chalkboard. Mr. Doyle,
their teacher, has a rule about copying dictionary pages.
If you don't complete every dictionary page that's assigned
to you by the end of the year, you have to repeat a grade.
Since Laura has written so many times on the board, she has
to copy seventeen pages.
To find out what
exciting and suspenseful things happen in this book, read
Sixth Grade Secrets.

Sixth
Grade Secrets is about Laura,
a girl in the Sixth Grade. Laura starts a club called Pig
City. All of her friends join. Tiffany, Allison and Laura
all get to choose a boy to join the club. For " insurance"
into the club you have to either , give something to the club,
or do what you'rer told. Find out who runs away and starts
his own club, Monkey Town. These two clubs become rivals.
Will the war be won by Pig City or Monkey Town?
I
would recommend all of the other Louis Sachar books, too.

Sixth Grade
Secrets is my favorite in the world (so far). It is about
this one girl named Laura whose school has banned any clubs
because of a boy who got excluded from all of the clubs last
year. Laura and her friends Allison and Tiffany decide to
have a secret club called Pig City on account of Laura's hat,
that she wears everyday, reads "Pig City." They
have a plan to make sure that Pig City is kept secret and
that is insurance. If you tell anyone about Pig City, then
Laura will show the school your insurance which will be something
like a love letter or your underpants or something else that
is rather personal. Then, each of the girls that are now in
the group has to pick a boy to come in the club too. In this
case Laura picks Gabriel, who then betrays the Pig City club
and he comes up with his own club, Monkey Town. Each club
fights against each other but when Gabriel steals the insurance
box of Pig City, the real hate begins.
I would recommend this book to a girl.
It is from a girl's point of view and only girls would understand
the true meaning of being in the situations that Laura Sibbie
gets into. This witty and even suspenseful story kept me
reading the whole day and I hope you enjoy it as much as
I did.
