Merriman is an energetic,colonial, nine-year-old . Felicity lives in Williamsburg,in 1774
just before the Revolutionary War. Her father and his appentice are enthusiastic Patriots.
Her mother is a kind soul who cares for her family. Felicity’s little sister is a
proper young colonial girl. Felicity has a secret horse named Penny whose owner is the
mean and nasty Jiggy Nye. Each of the books in this series is rather short, but they each
capture the reality and happiness in Felicity’s life .
