One of the books I read is called P.S. Longer
Letter Later written by Paula Danziger & Ann M. Martin . Elizabeth
and Tara * Starr are best friends, even though they are completely
different. Tara * Starr moves away at the wrong time. Elizabeth's Dad
is not paying off bills, drinking and being really mean to other
people. Tara and Elizabeth have to keep in touch by writing letters.
They get about 1 phone call. Tara calls Elizabeth. Uh Oh. Her Dad
answers the phone and starts yelling at Tara about how much he doesn't
like her and how she should leave Elizabeth's family alone. Elizabeth
moves and her Dad leaves the family and Elizabeth's family is doing
much better. Tara is a great friend.
From giving Elizabeth advice, to just being a 24/7
friend, it seems that not every one could have that kind of
relationship with a best friend.Fall 2003

P.S. Longer Letter Later
is about two girls named Elizabeth and Tara*Starr who are totally
different, but are actually best friends. Tara*Starr loves to be the
center of attention and is very outgoing, while Elizabeth is shy and
very quiet.
One day, Tara*Starr moves away with her parents to another
state. The two girls communicate by constantly writing letters. They
don’t use the phone because it is long distance, and Tara doesn’t have
enough money for that. Also, Elizabeth’s father does not really like
Tara or her parents.
Many interesting things happen to both girls, but something
horrible happens to Elizabeth and her family. Her dad loses his job so they don’t have much money anymore. Her father just sits around
all day and is not trying to get a new job. Elizabeth’s mother is
worried that they might lose their house. YIKES!
Will Elizabeth keep her house? Will her dad ever get a new
job and will Elizabeth continue to be friends with Tara*Starr?
I enjoyed reading about the lives of these two girls in the
form of letters. I recommend this book to people who like adventure.
Overall, I’d rate this book an eight.
P.S. If you like this book, read the sequel called
Snail
Mail No More. |

This is a book I read at the beginning of the school year. It is called
P.S. LONGER LETTER LATER. It is about two best, best friends. They are two
totally different people. One of the friends Tara* Starr has parents that gave birth to
her when they were in their teens. Her parents are very nice people but they don't have a
lot of money. The friend is Elizabeth -- her parents had her at a regular age but
unlike Tara, Elizabeth is very wealthy. The two girls also have two very different
personalities. Tara*Starr likes being popular and the center of attention, while Elizabeth
is shy and doesn't like being popular, or the center of attention. Now, this is what
happens in the book.Tara*Starr moves to a different state and Tara and Elizabeth have to
communicate through letters. They can't use the phone to communicate with each other
because for one, its long distance and Tara's parents can't afford a lot of long
distance phone calls, and two, Elizabeth's dad isn't very fond of Tara and her parents.
It's also a struggle for Elizabeth when Tara starts making a lot of new close friends!
Then something bad happens to Elizabeth, actually two things that are horrible. Read this
book to find out what those things are, and if Tara and Elizabeth can stay best
friends forever!!!!!!!!!I love this book because it teaches
you that you have to fight for what you want and it also teaches you about
friendships. If you like letters back and forth between two people and like stories about
friendships this is the book for you.

friends named Elizabeth and Tara Starr. When Tara Starr moves away, they try to stay
friends by writing letters. Both of them go through very tough times at home. They are
worried that they might not be able to continue their friendship with such a great
distance between them. Once they even have a fight. What will happen? Will they be able to
overcome the distance and stay friends?

Tara Star, who are best friends, but one moves away. Now they have to keep in touch by
writing letters. The letters tell about the girls and their families problems.
I enjoyed P.S. Longer Letter Later because I
liked the way it was written; each letter was about a different part of the girls
lives.

Tara*Starr who are best friends. Tara*Starr is really glittery and loud and her parents
are a lot like children. Elizabeth is the exact opposite. Tara* Starr moves to another
state and the only way that the girls can cummunicate is by writing to each other. It
would cost too much money for them to call and Elizabeths dad doesnt like
Tara*Starr. The entire book is their letters to each other.
Read P.S. Longer Letter Later to find out the horrible
thing that happens to Elizabeth and Tara*Starr.
