The main character, Meg, is accompanied by her brother, Charles Wallace, and their friend, Calvin, on a journey to find her long, lost father. It turns out that their neighbors are witches, and they are sent to help them. They "wrinkle" through time to the Fifth Dimension where they find their father. He is trapped there by an evil-force called "the black thing." Only the children can help their father escape.

A Wrinkle in Time is filled with endless possibilities. It helps you keep an open mind to different view-points. I recommend this book to anyone who likes books that are not predictable. I rate this book a 10!

I read A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'engle. It is about a girl named Meg Murray, who hates herself and stinks in school. She lived with her twin brothers and younger brother Charles Wallace Mother and Father but her father has been away for many years. It all starts on a stormy night like tonight when a strange old lady walks up to the Murray's house. It turns out to be Mrs. Whatsit, a neighbor who lives down the road. (Is this too creepy? I can stop...Nahhhh! ... it's not that creepy.) Well ,Mrs. Whatsit lives with two other women, Mrs.Who and Mrs.Which.

The real story begins when Meg ,Charles Wallace, and Calvin, Meg's friend take an adventure to Mrs. Whatsits' house. There they find out that they have been chosen to help fight the battle of the dark creature. They find out that Mrs. Whatsit and Co. are not just people --they can morph into strange animals/people.

They go to this town called Camazotz alone to save Meg's father. They see a man with red eyes who sucks Charles Wallace into IT. IT is a gigantic brain that controls you. They find Mr. Murray but Charles Wallace is still in IT.Mr Murray drags Meg and Calvin to a Mysterious Island where they meet Beasts. They all plan to save Charles Wallace -   but how?

Sorry - I'm not telling the end you will have to find out on your own!

I like the book because it has a lot of adventure in it. It is humorous but fun. I rate it a 91/2

Meg,  who is twelve, has no friends.  She is not the best student.  Her brother, Charles Wallace, is four and  very smart, but he has not even gone to school yet.  He loves Meg and will do anything to help her.  Calvin is a nice boy who likes Meg.

The story begins when Meg, Calvin, and Charles Wallace meet three star people named Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Witch.  They tell the three children that they have to go on a mission to find  Meg's father.  He is on a voyage to capture the black thing.  The star people help the three children as they search in different places and are put through many tests.  Charles is even brainwashed.  They have to defeat IT who is very powerful.  Read this great book to find out what happens to Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin.

This great fantasy book is full of so much suspense, and it makes you use a lot of your imagination.  It also teaches you to always be brave and do what has to be done.  It just took me to a whole new world.

Meg’s father has disappeared. She hasn’t heard anything from him. All she knows is that he was on some top-secret mission for the government. Now three very odd, old ladies, Meg’s little brother, Charles Wallace, and Meg’s best friend, Calvin O’Keefe are going to take a journey through space and find him.

I think that this book is wonderful. It is adventurous and fun. If I were to rate this book on a one to ten scale, I would rate it a ten.

A Wrinkle In Time is about a girl named Meg. Meg has a very hard time in school and is teased a lot. Meg has two twin brothers who are popular and loved by their classmates, and a little brother named Charles Wallace, who is also teased and beat up. Meg’s father works for the government. One time Meg’s father is called up by the government and he leaves Meg, her brothers and her mother without saying where he is going. Meg’s father never comes back.

Living across the street in the woods were three old women named Mrs. Whasit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Witch. One day when Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin, a friend, are walking along the street, the three ladies take them in and lead them to another world and different galaxies. Many wonderful and upsetting things happen there. Then the ladies leave the children on one of the planets with nothing but some advice to stay together and be careful. The ladies also tell them that their father is on this planet somewhere. Meg and the boys set out on an adventure but something terrible happens! You have to read the book to find out what it is. Can Meg, Calvin and Charles Wallace find their father? And can they escape the terrible dangers ahead?

I would recommend this book to anybody who likes adventure because this book is full of adventure.

The main characters in A Wrinkle in Time are Charles Wallace, Meg, his sister, Calvin O’Keefe, Meg’s friend, and Mr. Murray, who is Charles’ and Meg’s father. Mr. Murray goes away on a trip when Meg is seven and Charles is only one year old and he never returned. Meg and Charles want to find their father. Read A Wrinkle in Time, an exciting science fiction book about travel through space, to see if they find their father. You will also learn what the word tesseract means, an important term in the book.
