How Long Batteries Last
The purpose of this experiment was to find which of
three different batteries lasts the longest. To carry out this
experiment, two batteries of the same kind were attached
to a lamp base using red and black wires. Then the
light bulbs in the lamp base were screwed into place and
timed with a stopwatch.
After testing this experiment it was found that the
Duracell Alkaline lasted an average of 407 minutes, the
Energizer Alkaline lasted an average of 418 minutes, and
the Energizer Lithium lasted an average of 605.5 minutes.
The Energizer Lithium lasted over 3 hours longer than the
other two batteries, and therefore was the longer lasting
battery.
