The purpose of this experiment is to determine if marigolds can survive in different water temperatures. To carry out this experiment, three clay pots were taken, and each one had its own label either hot, warm, or cold. Also the pots were filled with soil, and planted with thirty marigold seeds. After this, three measuring cups were taken, and each one was filled with either hot, warm, or cold water, then each one was poured into the corresponding cup. This watering process was continued every time the soil became dry. Then a chart was filled out every day to make sure that the plants were growing.
After completing this experiment, it was found that the cold water pot did the best, with the most number of buds. The cold water with (24 buds) did the best out of all the other pots tested. the hot water was very close but it only had (20 buds). The warn water had the least amount of buds with only (14), and therefore warm water is not the best temperature for your plants.
