The purpose of this project was to find out which stain stick works best to get out tough stains. To carry out this experiment, fifteen of 15cm by 15cm swatches of both 100% cotton and polyester-cotton blend were cut out. After cutting the swatches threeof each stain of the same amount were applyed to each of swatches. Two of each stain were given a stain stick and then they were all washed with the same detergent. Once all of the swatches were washed they were compared with paint chips and put on a scale from one to ten, ten meaning the stain was completely gone.
After completing the experiment, it was
found that all stain sticks, "Shout", "Spray'N Wash",
and "Wisk Away", proved to work equelly well in removing the stains
from the fabrics tested. These results occurred because they all have most
of the same ingredients.
