Project Description:
Task: This is a collaborative
project involving one class of Spanish language students. Each
student is responsible for the editing of one section of the newspaper
and for contributing articles written in Spanish to four other
sections. The theme of the newspaper is happenings at Germantown
Academy.

Process: Students wrote
articles in word using Spanish spell check, e-mailed the articles
as attachments to each other, and e-mailed graphics to complement
the pages. They designed their pages in pagemill, created a banner
for the top of their page using claris & or word art. Finally
they linked the pages to each other and to my explanation. I checked
each article for mistakes with Spanish grammar.

Conclusion: Students wrote
various articles in Spanish . They double checked their work with
the help of spell check. They learned how to e-mail attachments,
and to create a page with pagemill, placing graphics and backgrounds
on the page. They worked with word art to design a banner. They
learned how to set up links to other pages in order to create
a book.

Rubric: Students are graded
on the quality of their articles, the application of computer
skills ,time on task, and the final product.
