Project Description:

Task: This is a collaborative project involving one class of Spanish language students. Each student is responsible for the editing of one section of the newspaper and for contributing articles written in Spanish to four other sections. The theme of the newspaper is happenings at Germantown Academy.

Process: Students wrote articles in word using Spanish spell check, e-mailed the articles as attachments to each other, and e-mailed graphics to complement the pages. They designed their pages in pagemill, created a banner for the top of their page using claris & or word art. Finally they linked the pages to each other and to my explanation. I checked each article for mistakes with Spanish grammar.

Conclusion: Students wrote various articles in Spanish . They double checked their work with the help of spell check. They learned how to e-mail attachments, and to create a page with pagemill, placing graphics and backgrounds on the page. They worked with word art to design a banner. They learned how to set up links to other pages in order to create a book.

Rubric: Students are graded on the quality of their articles, the application of computer skills ,time on task, and the final product.
