Long ago, in ancient China, lived a man named Poh Wong Wei. Poh lived in a small bamboo hut. It had one room, with a fire and a small sleeping mat. Also it had one small cabinet, where he kept two cups, a bowl, and a plate. His hut has located in a fairly small village in Sichaun. Poh lived in the tiniest hut in the village because that was all he could afford. Other village members laughed at his misfortune. For instance, they would throw stones, and insult him by calling him a beggar and other cruel names.
Poh lived off the money he earnd from chopping wood. He also grew a very small rice crop on his land, if you could call it that small area. His next door neighbors were the Wang Family. In this family were two sons, a grandmother, a husband, and, a wife. The Wang family was fairly wealthy because they grew large crops of rice, wheat, and water chestnuts. They were always in Poh's face comparing each other by bragging and taunting him.
"Why?" Poh asked the gods. "Why me? Why are they always laughing at me? Why do they call me names and threaten me? Why? Why? Why? Oh gods, forgive me gods for being so angry and obnoxious."
The next day while Poh was walking to the spot where he chopped his fire wood, he noticed a stream that had almost ran dry.
"What is this?" Poh questioned. "A stream almost dry and it is just the beginning of summer? I have to go to warn the others."
Poh tried to warn the others in his village but they just laughed. The other told him a stupid man dies a stupid death. Poh told himself not to worry because he would be prepared, and they would not.
Later in the season, Poh was one hundred percent correct with his theory about the drought. The other village people suffered greatly for it and several died! Although Poh had very little, he had food and water to last through the drought.
The villagers, who had made fun of him, had nothing left and they were even seen begging. They were even begging from Poh. They thought they might get food by apologizing. Poh could not give anything away, for if he did he would have nothing left for himself. He learned very quickly to ration his food and water and not overfill himself.
So, he who knows when enough is enough will always have enough.
