One day, Emperor Qin's wife had a baby boy, named Qin Won. He was a very cute baby. He was to become Emperor when his father died. He would have to be well disciplined to become Emperor. He would have to be taught to be Emperor at one day old. A minute after he was born, he was put in fancy silk robes and put into his room, which had beautiful curtains of blue and red silk. He had ten servants for himself alone.
Prince Won would have to live in the palace all of his life. This had its ups and downs. The palace was very beautiful and he had many servants to help him grow, but he wanted to be free. He wanted to be on his own.
"Come on dad, let's go," Prince Won yelled to his father, Emperor Qin. That day the Prince and his dad were in the royal garden, which looked like it belonged to God. It was very big and had every single kind of flower and tree in all of China.
"I'm coming," Emperor Qin said while running to catch up with his son. At the age of 7, Prince Won was very handsome and every girl wanted his hand in marriage. He wanted to get married but not to a girl who wanted him for his fame and riches. He wanted to marry someone who really loved him.
"Dad," Prince Won said quietly. "I want to get married, I mean not in 15 years, I mean right now!"
"Don't you think you are a little too young to get married, son?"
"No!"
"Talk does not cook rice, son. Wait ten years, then you may get married."
"Okay, but do you promise?"
"Of course I do, when you are 17..."
Ten Years Later!!!!
"Well dad, I am now 17!" Said Prince Won
"I know, now let's find the sweetest girl in the land!"
"Yeah, let's go!" They went searching to find someone who loved the Prince for himself and someone he could love in return. They searched the whole land, but everyone wanted him only because he was wealthy and famous.
"This is useless son, nobody loves you for who you are."
"Tomorrow we will look again. I am determined to find someone for myself and not my riches."
"Okay tomorrow," Emperor Qin said while yawning. But remember, everyday is not a feast of lanterns.
The next day they went searching again, but only at houses with many statues on their roofs. But all those people didn't like him. He almost gave up when he saw a house he hadn't looked in yet. It had a beautiful garden with many dragons of jade. He walked into the garden and saw a beautiful woman sitting on a jade bench emrboidering a robe. Her eyes were as sweet as flowers and her hands were like fluffed up pillows. He then knew this would be the girl he would marry.
The garden was almost as beautiful as the girl. The garden looked as beautiful as the Prince's, only not quite as big. It had big stone lions guarding it. It had many mulberry trees and white moths flying around. There were also many silkworms. He could tell she was rich because of the Jade, the lions and the statues on the roof.
"Hello, Miss," he said quietly. She turned and looked at him.
"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be in the palace?" she asked in a sweet, kind voice.
"I am looking for a woman to marry, and I saw you. My eyes grew wider," he said shyly.
"Thank very much, your highness," she said in that same voice.
"What's your name?" he asked her.
"Wong Le," she whispered. "Will you marry me Wong Le?" he said in a brave, warrior- like voice.
"Yes I would love to," she answered.
