Rememberances of Augustus
After Augustus came into power, Rome ceased to be known as a city of brick, but as a city of marble. This was because he built many things in the city out of marble. Some of the things he built were: The Baths of Agrippa, The Temple of Neptune, The Theater of Marcellus, The Promenades, and The Temple of Apollo. For his family, he built a Mausoleum on the Field of Mars. This building is still standing today, and contains Augustus' ashes and other remembrances of him.
