THE DEATH OF ARCHIMEDES

The death of Archimedes was a very tragic occurrence, but the way he died was very fitting for his genius mind. In 212 B.C., when the Roman Empire was invading the city-state Syracuse, by way of the Roman army, the Roman generals ordered their soldiers not to kill Archimedes. During the invasion, a Roman soldier came into Archimedes's home/work place, and killed him. When Archimedes was killed, he was working on one of the greatest loves of his life, mathematics.
