Boudicca (Boadicea)

?-62 A.D.

A Celtic warrior-queen of the Iceni tribe, which lived in southern Brittain. Retaliating against oppressive Roman rule, she led a revolt against the Romans during the time of Nero. After some initial successes, the Britons were defeated by the superior numbers and organization of the Roman forces.
