1W Halloween Fun!
The children could color in Halloween pictures, do a maze, a word search, or make a Halloween bookmark. Monster Math provided the children with many papers of math problems, some of them quite easy and some quite challenging. Each child estimated the number of candy pumpkin there were in a jar. Candy corn math gave the children the opportunity to measure with candy corn and also make patterns.
A list of Halloween words was put on the white board. The children had the opportunity to create their own Halloween story. They could read a story and do a variety of follow-up activities associated with that story. They could also select a Halloween story to curl up with on one of the window seat As the children finished the different activities they put their work in an orange Halloween folder which they could decorate with fall stickers. |
