Baryonyx

by Brandon

The Baryonyx is about 30 feet long. It was 13 feet tall. It weighed 2 tons. Its name means heavy claw. This is a good name because it has a big claw and it's heavy. The period it lived in was the Cretaceous. The fossils were found in England and Niger. Baryonyx could hook a fish with its claw. The Baryonyx ate coelanth and dinosaurs. Its head looked like a crocodile's head. On its leg it had a little claw. Its claw had a groove on it. The claws on its front legs were 12 inches long. Baryonyx is called Superclaw. Its teeth were like a razor blade. The babies were born in eggs with teeth. The Baryonyx might have lived next to the water so it could eat fish. It was hot and swampy, too. It could defend itself with its super claws. The first fossil was found by Bill Walker. The fossil was a claw.
