Ornitholestes means bird robber. He lived in the late Jurassic Period in North America. His hand had two big claws. He had a big tail. His feet were big. His head wasn't that big. It was a little big and a little small. His length was 7 feet and 2mm. long. His height was about 3 feet high. He was about 35 pounds. He would use his teeth to defend himself. He ate small animals such as lizards, frogs and early mammals. Ornitholestes would steal eggs from other dinosaurs. he lived about 15o million years ago.
As it ran after its prey, this dinosaur used its long tail to to help it balance.
Ornitholestes footprint was probably the size of ours. It also used its thumbs for gripping.
