If it's fall it must be insects!

Traditionally at Germantown Academy, the second grade undertakes an interdisciplinary study of the fascinating world of insects. We take the time to appreciate the wonder, the magic and the mystery of these six-legged creatures. Students have the opportunity to obseve a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, hunt for water striders and dragonfly nymphs in the creek, pet a live Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, savor a cheese flavored mealworm, and to watch a colony of ants build an underground tunnel.
