Students in Mrs. Vieille's class wrote "How To's" about the trades and life experiences of colonial people. After taking field trips and reading fiction and non-fiction about the period, students selected a trade, craft or colonial activity which interested them. They researched each subject using the Historic Communities Series by Bobbie Kalman. Then they presented the information as a recipe listing materials needed, steps to follow, and the significance of each activity. Please enjoy a sampling of student's work.
