HOW TO GET: Water from the well
 
 

MATERIALS: Water, stones, wood (logs), nails, a bucket, a box (wood crate)

DIRECTIONS:

1. First you have to chop wood to use for the well.

2. Then you have to kill a cow and get leather from it.

3. Then cut a square hole in bucket and cut a square of the leather and attach the leather over the hole of the bucket.

4. Attach the bucket to the end of a piece of wood that is long but round with a piece of cord.

5. Dig a hole for the well and build rocks up around it to make a wall.

6. Find a piece of a log that comes to a "y" at the end. Stick it in the ground "y" up, 5 feet from the well.

7. Now take the log with the bucket attached and rest it over the "y' log, bucket end over the well.

USES FOR:

The well was used for water to drink. Water was used for other things like brushing teeth, feeding pets and animals, taking a bath , washing clothes , dishes and watering crops.
