The Freedom We Will One Day Have
by Kent

Well I'll tell you, son,
One day we are going to have our equal rights.
One day we are all going be equal.
Whether our skin is black,
Brown, white or other,
We will one day be equal.
Whether we are discriminated against,
Or victimized by prejudiced thoughts,
We will stand proud for what we are.
For we are all humans,
All races equal,
We may appear to be different in skin color,
But we are all the same inside.
Therefore untill that light of freedom comes to meet us in this dark, separate world,
We are trapped in an enclosed glass barrier,
In which we are aware of our boundaries,
Separating the rights of whites and blacks,
For we may look but perhaps never have.
So I tell you, boy,we have to fight so that one day we will become equal,
For if we do not,
We will be living in that glass barrier for the rest of our lives. So listen here, son, you must never never give up,
And you have to fight for our rights,
You have to gather enough strength,
To shatter and break through that glass barrier,
So that one day we will become free.
