Moonlight Dragon
by Lauren
There is a Moonlight Dragon,
Who sleeps in the deep blue sea,
Until there is a full moon,
And that is when you'll see,
That dragon peek his head out,
Of the sparkling sea,
He'll slither out the ocean,
Onto the wet sand bar,
He spreads his wings majestically,
And they will take him far.
Into the cold night air he flies,
His hunger is driving him crazy.
When suddenly a village he spies,
Where people are tired and lazy.
"Perfect," he says,
"Easy to eat."
So he slowly drifts down,
And lands on his feet.
With the moonlight gleaming over the town,
He nips off their heads,
And gobbles them down,
With his tummy full,
And full of glee,
The moonlight dragon,
Flies back to the sea!
