My Dragon

by Savannah

Away in a magical mystical land ,
In a storybook far far away

Where the faint sound of a Pipa flows through the air...
The Pipa slices through the fog like a knife through butter.
In the midst of the fog stands a creature unknown by man
And as the fog clears the creature emerges, it is a dragon, my dragon.

Its immense body stands tall and proud,
Its wonderful green scales glisten in the morning sun.
Its teeth are like daggers.

It bends down to drink as the dew falls off the leaves
And lifts up his head and lets out a roar as fire shoots out of his mouth.
A new day has dawned and a new figment of my imagination has begun to be,

My dragon
