"An Inch of Gold Won't Buy an Inch of Time"

Once long ago there lived a wealthy young man named Ming who
had just celebrated his wedding to a young lady named Hun Chung.
The day after the wedding Ming was sick in bed. A wise man came to see Ming but did not have a cure for his disease.
As the days went by Ming got weaker and sicker. Hun Chung was very worried about her beloved husband. So she called for the wise man and this time offered him lots of gold to help her husband. He came but he did not cure him, explaining, "An inch of gold will not buy an inch of time," which meant no matter how rich or wealthy you are you will die when the time comes and no amount will make you live longer.
But Ming thought the exact opposite. The next day Ming died. Hun Chung missed her beloved husband and never remarried but lived to a good old age. But she was never lonely with her trusty dog Mushu.
