Marching to be Equal
A Struggle Poem of Women's rights
![]()
Equal Rights . . .
Words I can only dream.
We are not equal, equal like men.
Though we are white,
We still must fight for our equal rights.
We beg and march on the city streets,
Yet, we can still only dream to be equal as men.
As I march in the street, I begin to dream.
I dream of equal rights . . .
I am in a place,
where we are all equal as a bird in a flock,
no matter our gender or race.
I am in a place,
where I can vote for president,
and people would not mind.
I am in a place,
where I can work in the same jobs as men,
and I would do better than they.
In this place,
I am equal as men.
Yet, I am still marching . . .
Marching to be equal.
