DRAGON WINGS

by Casey H

Dragon wings,

I thought so lovely,

To soar high in the breeze, with the clouds rolling by,

The sun shining down on the glittery hot scales,

The mythical animal floating up and down.

Dragon wings,

Stretched out in the cool rain with sparkling small drops,

With claws like sharks teeth, and the ears of a rabbit,

The dragon carries on to the morning light.

Dragon wings,

When the morning awakes and the sun is bright, we'll travel on,

With wings a mile wide, we glide forever, until the sky ends,

We sail over the sea when the moon reflects of it, and shines on us,

The twinkling stars guide us through misty clouds back to china, our home.

Dragon wings,

My dragon dives down to the land, like a serpent and rises up, like a shooting star,

He pushes his strong legs against the wind, as if walking on it, so we go faster,

I think I see China not he horizon but my dragon does not stop,

He rises up to the heavens, until my ears burst, and then calmly floats onto a cloud.

Dragon wings,

We sit on a cloud like cats on a roof,

Not a care in the world, not a thought, just a dream,

The sun beats down, so my dragon breathes mist to cool us off,

He breathes dancing fire to mystify me, but does harm, just enchants me.

Dragon wings,

I thought so lovely a dream so nice,

Only reality can pull us back from a dream like this.

When I fly with my dragon I feel I'm flying on clouds, on feathers, on pillows, on air.

Dragon wings, just a dream, right?

I know I will never forget my dragon, that dragged me away from the worries of life, and took me on a fantasy ride,

The dragon that left me dreamy eyed.

A thought so lovely, it is not a thought anymore, it is just words,

The only thing I can think is DRAGON WINGS.
