Dragons Day

My scales are a shiny green Jade,

I consider my life is made.

I always blow the fire and smoke,

People think it's a practical joke.

I chew my meal in a polite way,

After each meal I love to say:

"That was good in protein it was rich,

but stay away I'm worse then a witch.

For my next meal you may be there,

I'll chew your bone and suck your hair."

People run and people hide,

but I am a softie, to them I lied.

I'd never eat unless hunger struck,

to get some sweet berries I am in luck.

I alwalys clean up, and don't leave a spot,

the doctor though says I'll need a shot.

I shout and I holler and yell it isn't fair,

but out he comes my life just isn't fair.

Home I walk to my wife and my kids,

walking, coughing fire, smelling pans and replcing lids.

After dinner I jump into my nest,

And I fall into a fitless rest.

Now you know, and don't have any doubts,

in the morning again I'll have to shout,

"I am a dragon, and this is my day,

I'll work for my money and for fun I'll play,

I am a dragon and this is MY day!!!!"
