Can a Miner and a Forest Get Along?
A monkey swings,
Yet a tree is cut down behind him,
A Water Monkey swims in the river,
Not knowing that mecury is heading his way.
A miner finds a gold nugget,
Not sensing the indigenous person poised behind him.
As I walk through the forest,
Thinking about how bad things are with miners,
I stop.
How could the indigenous peoples help the miners?
How could the miners help the indigenous peoples?
If the miners talked to the indigenous peoples about their familes
Mabye the people of the forest would reconsider the personality of a miner.
If the indigenous peoples would talk to the miners peacefully about sickness and water pollution
Maybe the miners would think about their actions.
The miners don't mean to hurt the indigenous peoples,
They just need to make a living.
Their children might starve,
If they lost their jobs.
How can a miner and a forest get along?
I am stopped in wonder.
There is no solution
Not yet,
At least
We know right now,
The mining won't cease.
