Please Stop for the Generations

The rainforest being destroyed
by our juggernaut urge for power, money,
and technology.
We are blinded by this urge
but we won't suffer alone,
the generation to come
will suffer, too
from carbon dioxide,
starvation, heat,
and cancer.
So don't stop for me, but for youselves
and your children and their children
but, more importantly
for the human race
and for life on this earth.
We, being humans, have taken a challenge
to be the most powerful, and the most advanced species
on earth.
So we must shield the lesser species from harm
let's not take advantage of this power we have.
Please stop for the generations to come.
