ENVIRONMENTAL POEMS

Haikus

The wind blows causing the trees to sway while leaves slowly fall toward the ground.

A Macaw calls out as Ocelot jumps from branch to branch sillily following a Monarch butterfly.

The grass moves slightly as a grasshopper hops from blade to blade away from a blue-tongued skink that is looking for a tasty treat.

The anaconda swims relaxed in a warm river sneakily looking for food with his 30 foot long body.

The leaves rustle as a howler monkey comes swiftly and when he barks he is heard a mile away.

Misplaced by its mother, a baby glass eyed frog misses the water, after being placed on the wrong leaf.
