IT FEELS GOOD TO GIVE
BY PHIL
Too small, too tight,
too short,
it's that time of year again when I clean out my closet
Shoes, shorts, shirts, pants,
I put them in a plastic bag.
They're off to find a new home with someone less fortunate.
Turkeys, Turkeys, Turkeys,
Every year I get frozen turkeys,
I get them from the U.P.S. drivers and the neighbors
I donate them to the poor in my community.
Toys, Toys, Toys,
Off to TOYS R US we go,
yo-yos, dolls, little cars, and books,
I wrap them up with colorful paper and bows,
I then drop them off at our bank for Toys for Tots.
At this holiday time it feels good to give,
I realize that I am lucky to have a wonderful family.
Some people don't have clothes, food, or toys to play with.
My mom and dad taught me that it feels good to give than to receive.
