Internment

by Adam

My name is Greg.

I live in Arizona.

I was watching T.V.

and I heard about a

bombing on Pearl Harbor,

Hawaii. Soon many

days went by, and all

I heard was bad news.

My ancestors were Japanese.

But I was an American

born child. Soon I heard

many Japanese people

were being put into

Concentration Camps,

in the desert. One day,

a group of 20 soldiers

came to our town and took

me and my mother. I looked

around and felt alone.

My mother was next to me,

but I felt as if I was unguarded,

and vulnerable to anything,

and anyone. Soldiers surrounded

me and brought us to the

same camps I had heard

about on the radio and T.V.

I felt helpless, and frustrated

by all the sadness that I was

surrounded by. I tried to talk

to my mother I was pulled away.

cried and screamed for her.

I lost her, she was gone.

And there was no one with

me, It was all........ gone.
